The Rock N Roll Manifesto All Request Weekend! Only, it wasn’t a weekend, it was just a Wednesday.

Last week I took some requests for the last part of the show, and it was so much fun, I thought I’d do a whole show like that. So, I sent out a call for requests and tonight’s show was the result. I must say, my listeners have great taste! So, a big thanks to Jerry E., Jerry Pinhead, Petra, Benny, George and Dratsum for all the great requests. Also thanks to Natalie for the Beer Minute suggestion. In response to that, the Beer Minute this week was a great chocolate stout that even the folks in Europe should be able to get their hands on.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 88

No theme tonight, just a bit of the usual, which was a lot of fun, especially since I got to go overtime and take some requests from the chat. Early on, I played a set by the Flash Boys, who were kind enough to send me some tracks from their newest album to play on the show. What a great band! A big thanks to them for sending me some stuff to play. Make sure you check them out and buy both of their records! Tonight’s Beer Minute was a great East Coast IPA with West Coast flava. That’s right, I said “flava.”

I had so much fun doing requests tonight that I decided that next week is going to be an “All Request Weekend” show, meaning all the songs will be requests from you, my loyal listeners. So, make sure you hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, here on the blog, or email me. Send me as many requests as you want. I’m sure I won’t have that many people sending me requests anyway, and I might not have everything you request, either. So, send me a list and I’ll do what I can!

Rock N Roll Manifesto 87: 60’s Garage Punk

This was something new for me. Admittedly, I’m not the biggest garage fan. A lot of garage for me was always either too 60’s sounding, or just not savage enough for me. My mission on this show was to wade through all the garage stuff that I have and pull out the most savage/punk rock tracks I could find. I’m sure someone who is more well versed in 60’s garage could do a lot better than me. I have a limited amount of stuff, mostly compilations. That being said, for those of you, like myself, who may not be into garage for the same reasons as me, maybe this will show you that there really is some good stuff out there, you just have to dig for it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show! Tonight’s Beer Minute was Founders Centennial IPA.

All cover songs on the Rock N Roll Manifesto tonight! I hadn’t done an all covers show since around August of 2010, so I figured it was time. These are fun shows to do, and this one was no exception. Had me wondering why I hadn’t done one in so long. Anyway, we had punks covering punks, punks covering country, psychobillies covering garage, etc. You get the idea. Tonight’s Beer Minute was a great, juicy, citric IPA. Top notch. Enjoy the show!

Back to the same old routine of playing whatever I feel like playing. I tried to play some stuff this week I hadn’t played in a while. Of course, I always try to do that, I just don’t always succeed. I had some requests from the chat which I’m always happy to oblige, an unexpected visit from my Aunt, and two separate Beer Minutes, featuring an Indian Brown Ale and an Imperial Stout. Pretty much what you would expect from a Rock N Roll Manifesto, I suppose. Hope you dig it.

There was a whole lot of country, some rock n roll, rockabilly, punk, cowpunk and more, all about the slammer. The Beer Minute was an excellent milk stout by Southern Tier Brewing Company.

Overtime! This episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto was 3 full hours of music. I can’t guarantee it will be as good as last week’s episode with Stevie Tombstone, but as I said during the show, what I lack in quality, I made up for in quantity. Ha! Songs were all over the map as usual, with a bunch of requests, band submissions and much more! I got news that Gentleman Matt will be joining me for another episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto Beer Show on March 7th, and I’m also taking orders for RnR Manifesto t-shirts. Stevie Tombstone is kicking off his tour and his first stop is going to be right here at Rock N Roll Manifesto HQ! Stevie will be joining me live in the studio to talk about his tour and his upcoming album that’s in the works, we’ll be spinning some tunes, and he may even play some songs live on the show if we can get that worked out properly.  (Fingers crossed!)
