Remember when I talked about infected beers a few weeks ago on the show? Well, I’m pretty sure I got one live on the air tonight. It wasn’t the worst Band-Aid flavor I ever experienced, so I couldn’t be sure at first, but it got dumped down the drain in the end.  Pisser! I was expecting it to be a good beer. After doing some research, I’m pretty positive this was a bad one.

Other than that it was pretty much a normal show. There was a birthday shout out to a good friend of mine, a Diggin’ Through the Record Crate segment, and lots of other great tunes, including, but not limited to: power pop, garage, psychobilly, post-punk and classic country.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 107

I took some requests earlier in the week which provided some good tracks for the show, including 2 sets of 70’s punk, a Wall of Voodoo cover, Geza X, Bill Haley and New Model Army! There was no Brats in Leather Jackets segment this week, unfortunately, but I did a Diggin’ Through the Record Crate segment that was pretty good, so hopefully that will fill the void. The Beer Minute this week was a Belgian Tripel India Pale Ale. I tacked on an extra song just for you podcast listeners. Hope you dig it.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 106

Manifesto 106 was back to the regular format. There were a few band submissions this time, and also 3 brand new tracks from the upcoming Stevie Tombstone record, “Greenwood.” You’re going to want to download the podcast just for that, folks! Rock N Roll Manifesto 105: Short Songs for Short Attention Spans

110 songs in just over 2 hours. No song longer than 1 minute, 15 seconds. Lots of hardcore and punk rock, but also some country, psychobilly and more! This was a fun experiment in broadcasting and a lot harder than I thought it would be. I couldn’t fit all the songs into my 2 hour live time slot, because I forgot to take into consideration that I would be talking about 3 times as many songs as I do normally. It all worked out, though, I just kept the recorder running until I played all the songs I had picked out. Somehow I thought it was 111, but the final count was actually 110. Add in a Brats in Leather Jackets segment and Two Beer Minutes featuring a Trappist Ale and a local Pale Ale, and you’ve got a jam packed show! I hope you dig it.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 104

Tonight on the Manifesto I took a trip to the Real Rock N Roll Hall of Fame from Mojo Workout, and played all of the artists that I have inducted into said Real Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. This should serve as proof positive that the “other” Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland is nothing more than a sham. A complete joke!

Also on this show, the first ever Beer Minute throwdown between 3 different witbiers, and of course, Brats in Leather Jackets and lots of other great music.

This week’s Manifesto had a tribute to the Queen of Country Music, Kitty Wells, some British punk, Canadian punk, California punk, Colorado punk that sounds like Swedish punk, some metal, some rockabilly, some skate punk and much, much more! Add in a great Brats in Leather Jackets segment and an imperial chocolate stout for the Beer Minute, and you’ve got a killer episode of the Rock N Roll Manifesto!

A normal Manifesto episode, I suppose. My wife went away and took the camera with her, so I had to steal an image of tonight’s Beer Minute from Wikipedia. Such is life. Of course there was a Brats in Leather Jackets segment as well, with a German version of an iconic song you may recognize.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 101

The beginning of tonight’s show was riddled with technical difficulties, so I had to stop the show and start over, which totally threw a wrench in the gears. Luckily, I didn’t have any time constraints this evening, so it all worked out. I ended up doing overtime, taking requests from the chat.

Tonight I announced the winners from the 100th episodes giveaways, so congratulations to Scot, Daniela and George, and thanks for entering! Your stuff will be sent out shortly.

The Manifesto ended up being over 3 hours tonight, and I went into some territory you might not expect, and maybe you won’t even like!

Rock N Roll Manifesto 100: Thank You!!

100 shows! Nearly two years of the Rock N Roll Manifesto! This show was a huge “thank you!” to all the listeners, labels and bands that have supported the Manifesto over these past two years, especially the people who have been around the longest, and those who give me feedback on a regular basis or have turned me onto new bands. So, THANK YOU!!! Thank you to everyone who tunes in and downloads the podcast.

This show was jam packed with great music, giveaways, thank yous, and segments. I pretty much ran out of time! If you want to try and win one of the three giveaways, just listen to the show and send your answers to the trivia questions to the email address provided in the podcast. I will pick a random winner for each of the three giveaways, and announce them on the next Manifesto. So, you folks who can’t listen to the podcast right away have a week to get your answers in.

Rock N Roll Manifesto 99

Let’s see, what happened tonight? Oh yeah, a new release from Squidhat Records, a shout out to Benny and Dorit on their upcoming marriage, 2 Beer Minutes, a band submission from the Conniption Fits, Brats in Leather Jackets and of course, a dose of punk rock, hardcore, psychobilly, rockabilly, 50’s rock & roll and more! For some reason my voice was really loud on this episode and got a bit distorted. Not sure why that happened, but hopefully I’ll fix it for next time. Sorry about that.

Next week is the big 100, folks. Make sure you don’t miss it. Tune in live if at all possible. I’ll be doing some giveaways. At least one of them I’ll do live, the other two will probably be for the podcast listeners. We’ll see how it goes. Should be a great show!
