Took a trip to NYC on Thursday to hang out with Brian “Dratsum” Hyde and Tommy Unit, and to go see Flag. Had a blast. Here’s some photographic evidence.

GotterdammerungWith all that’s been going on stateside lately, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to throw together a show focused upon anti-war songs and social and political protest songs. I asked the Manifesto listeners for some suggestions, and then dove into my stacks of music and picked out the best songs I could find about a variety of topics. I spent a lot of time putting this show together, even more-so than usual, so I hope that the end result is a show that people will really like. Either way, thanks for listening. A lot of times, I can remember when and where I heard a band, and who turned me onto them. I can remember how hearing that band led me to seek out other bands that were similar. It’s crazy what a song can do. Think about your musical journey. How did you get from one genre to the next?

Rock N Roll Manifesto 154: 3 Years!

90 Minute IPA3 years! Tonight’s show was the 3 year anniversary of the Rock N Roll Manifesto, to the day. July 24th, 2010 was the very first Manifesto ever. The show was even longer than usual tonight with lots of great music, including a flash back to the very first set ever played on the Manifesto, a great Beer Minute, Brats in Leather Jackets and so much more.

Also, the Rock N Roll Manifesto shirts are here! I have emailed everyone who said they wanted one. As soon as I get all those people taken care of, I’ll list the rest for sale on the Merch page.
